


In most series, a few minor characters might die, but I generally expect the main characters and the crucial side characters to survive. I am ashamed to say that when I go into a series, I am actually more shocked when a character dies and does not come back than when a character dies and then does come back. I love all of the characters in this series and I am sad to see them go. Normally, I would say that the complexity would make the story confusing, but if anyone can pull it off, Bishop can. The different layers and dimensions in it can’t be simply explained. This world that Anne Bishop has created is so complex and brilliant. I love this book, but then again, was I really expecting a different result? Anne Bishop just has a way of writing that ensnares the reader and I have become addicted to her writing.
